What is stored
- Your email address
- Because there is no other way to tell you when the thing is ready. Stored with the date you sent it.
- What you said you were running
- The boxes you ticked and anything you typed, if you did. Both are optional and the form works without them. This decides which agent CLI gets an adapter next.
- Your IP address, for up to an hour
- Counted so one address cannot submit the form more than five times in fifteen minutes. It is not stored beside your email, it is not used to work out where you are, and rows older than an hour are deleted. That is the only reason it is kept at all.
Nothing else. No name unless you type one, no company, no account, no password, and no profile built from any of it.
Your address is kept until the thing ships and you have been told, or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first. If the project stops, the list is deleted after the message saying so.
Where it lives, and who sees it
In a Cloudflare D1 database on a Cloudflare account belonging to RoamingPigs, Inc. One person reads it, and that is Cisco Caceres. A notification goes to an address he owns when somebody new signs up.
It is not sold, not shared, not passed to an advertiser, and not used to train anything.
If you are in the UK or the EU: the lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by the link below. The IP count runs on legitimate interests, that interest being keeping the form from being hammered. You have the right to see what is held, correct it, or have it deleted.
What you will get
One message, when there is something to install. Not a newsletter, and nothing between now and then. If the project stops, you get one message saying that instead.
The page itself
This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage. It loads no fonts, no trackers and no third-party scripts of its own. Cloudflare, which serves it, adds its own analytics script, which counts page views without cookies. Two hosts are contacted when you open this site: this one, and Cloudflare’s.
Your browser tells Cloudflare your IP address in order to be served the page at all, as it does for every site. That is a property of the web, not a choice made here, and it is separate from the hour-long count described above.
Getting removed
Say so here and the row is deleted. You do not have to explain why. Ask what is held about you and you will be sent it, which for almost everyone is one row with an address, a date and whatever you ticked.
That is a link rather than an address on purpose. An address written into this page makes Cloudflare rewrite it and load a script to put it back, on a page whose whole claim is that it loads none.
